Finally, a first snapshot of (part of) the campaign engine.
This is actually a first version of a reconnaissance-module to be included in the mission evaluation prog.
To run the demo, create a new FST-project (preferably fly 1.52), unzip the contents of the attached zipfile to that folder and confirm all overwrites. If you want to use fly 1.45 you'll have to edit the first line of the worldfile.
Run MISSION.BAT, find the convoi, and take photos (alt+g).

The screen res my prog runs in is 800x600, 15 bit color depth. Image-files used are 256 cols.

Here's how the program works:

Basically you can't tell if a certain shape has been photographed. What you can tell is if a certain color is being used in the image. If a certain color is only used on the shape that is to be found, you have a way of telling whether the object in question has been photographed. This method restricts mission-building in two ways:
1. the color that is unique to the recce-target is taboo for any other object
2. it is also taboo for the cockpit-pcx. This goes for 256 color cockpits, and it includes all the shades the color uses (see DJ's color editor).

I think that these restrictions are bearable, since they hold only for recce-missions. Making special versions of the shapes used in these missions (and also of the cockpit) should be a good compromise.

The graphics still look kind of crappy. They were ripped from 1942 Pacific Air War and will probably cause copyright problems. Ron, that's where you come in :-). Graphics should be 800x600x256.

Any input is welcome :-)
