Hello FST user.  Here for you free use and enjoyment is my new experimental 
jet aircraft called the HDART-1.  This is version 1.0 of this craft.

H-DART has three FSD files included:

HDART-1S.FSD     Aircraft with wheels up and wings swept aft.
                 (This is the high speed shape for the HDART which
                  is displayed by FST when the ship travels faster than
                  600 knots... which it does!



Also included is the HDART's flight model, a file called HDART3.FMD.
Using this model you will get an interesting flying experience with the
HDART which as a takeoff speed of about 90 kts. and a max speed of about
820 kts.

THIS MODEL WAS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH VER. 2 OF FLY.EXE, THE ONE THAT CAME
WITH WWII FST /UPGRADE, ALSO KNOWN AS VER. 1.45 AS NOTED WHEN FLYING THE SIM 
AND TYPING ALT+T TO DISPLAY FRAME RATE. (You will not get the designers
desired flight handling effects using another version however it will still
work.

                           Background

HDART is an experimental futuristic type aircraft with a small fusion turbine
located atop its tail.  Amazingly, this unit produces large amounts of thrust
giving the aircraft a high top speed.  The sweep wing is essential for 
HDART's high speed operations.  Test Pilots may notice that the HDART is 
slightly slower than most aircraft in recovering from a roll and has a rather
"heavy" feel for its size. Some pilots have also mentioned that low speed
flight can be quite challenging since HDART becomes "squirrely" below 130
knots.

                          FST Design Notes

I had the idea to give the aircraft a kind of a barn swallow look which I
think I have achieved.  It was my objective to create a shape which was 
as bleed-thru free as possible and with one or two exceptions I believe she
is.  Interestingly, in an effort to achieve the previous, tetra shapes where
used for the wings and stabilizer and a penta was used for the tail.  This 
allowed for some interesting coloration using the white thru dark gray 
self shading palette colors.   

I'm note entirely pleased with HDART but believe it to be a solid effort
which I hope you enjoy.  It took me about 40 hours to create the three shapes,
the bleed thru on the under carriage took a long while to debug; 
and drove me nuts for a few nights... finally I found the answer.

The HDART flight model has some strange numbers in it but seems to work 
rather well with ver.2 FLY.EXE in creating a very intersting flying 
experience. 

After all, HDART is above all an experimental aircraft.
